Amanda McCall has written and produced for television (The Late Show With David Letterman, Bravo’s Watch What Happens, Adult Swim’s Soft Focus with Jena Friedman, The Puppy Bowl, Viceland, The Wendy Williams Show, and others) as well as digital series and podcasts (Vox, PBS, Comedy Central Originals, The New York Times, Funny or Die, MAKERS, Above Average) and various conferences and other live events.
Amanda is the author of several humor books, including Grandma’s Dead: Breaking Bad News With Baby Animals, the first in a three-part series from HarperCollins with co-author Ben Schwartz, and Britney’s Baby Book. She was also a contributing writer and editor for This Land Was Made for You and Me (But Mostly Me): Billionaires in the Wild by David Letterman and Bruce McCall and Feminist Fight Club: A Survival Manual for a Sexist Workplace by Jessica Bennett (she also made the book’s trailer), and The New York Times Style section, among others.
Amanda’s hobbies include creating feminist Ben & Jerry's flavors, Gloria Steinem tributary merch, and pigeon PR videos for The Wild Bird Fund. She was raised in Manhattan and currently lives in Brooklyn, where she owns and operates three separate squirrel feeders.
