Amanda McCall is a writer, producer and author.
She has written and produced for television shows including The Late Show With David Letterman, Bravo’s Watch What Happens and The Wendy Williams Show, as well as digital series and storytelling projects such as MAKERS and Vox’s Divided States of Women with Liz Plank, on which she was executive producer and showrunner. She was recently an on-air correspondent for the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet, where she interviewed puppies, baby kangaroos and other important figures in sports.
Amanda is the author of several humor books, including Grandma’s Dead: Breaking Bad News With Baby Animals, the first in a three-part series from HarperCollins coauthored with comedian Ben Schwartz, and Britney’s Baby Book: Unauthorized and Untrue. She was an editor and contributor on This Land Was Made for You and Me (But Mostly Me): Billionaires in the Wild by David Letterman and has also worked on several less silly books, such as Feminist Fight Club: A Survival Manual for a Sexist Workplace by Jessica Bennett (she produced the book’s video as well) and You Are a Mogul by digital entrepreneur, Tiffany Pham.
When she’s not creating viral feminist ice cream flavors in her spare time, or creating PR videos for pigeons, Amanda also works as a speechwriter, ghostwriter and live event producer. She has produced events with Gloria Steinem, Kara Swisher, Hillary Clinton, and FDNY firefighter and activist, Regina Wilson, among others.
